Outside School Meet and Greet

Outside School

Meet and Greet

Outside School is at Alvarado Park in Richmond, California. During the school year I hold monthly meet and greet sessions so you can come and meet me, get your questions answered in person, and check out the school site. By all means feel free to bring your child! I can meet them and they can play while we talk. i’ll be there rain or shine. Please see the calendar for dates, which are on Mondays from 11:00-12:00:

Alvarado Park is in the hills, seconds away from exits from I-80. Carpooling is encouraged! Please be advised that families are to park in the main parking lot on the left side of Park Avenue, as East Bay Regional Parks has deemed Park Avenue itself unsuitable for safe family crossing (cars zip up and down pretty quickly). Alternatively, our site is about a 15 minute walk from the 72 AC Transit route on San Pablo Avenue at McBryde and the 684 line stops nearby. The park’s official address is: 5755 McBryde Avenue, Richmond, CA 94805 (please note that Outside School’s mailing address is P.O. Box 6490, Albany, CA 94706).

From the parking lot, follow the signs downhill to the picnic areas. I’ll be below the gazebo, practically under the bridge at the picnic tables that are creekside. The staircase down is between the gazebo and the Elderberry picnic site. Keep an eye out for me, most likely I’ll be wearing my familiar black!

This is the view from the bridge looking toward the gazebo. The picnic tables where I’ll be are in the shadows below:

This is about where I’ll be, from a map point of view:
