Outside School Volunteers

Outside School

Volunteers

I can use volunteers to help me each day 9:00-3:00. I have current availability for Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays during camp and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during the school year. Are you interested?

If so, please read:

“The Challenge of Transplanting the European Forest Kindergarten to North America,” by Regina Wolf Fritz in Nature Preschools and Forest Kindergartens: The Handbook for Outdoor Learning, edited by David Sobel

And please send:

-A copy of your resume.

-A copy of your immunization records. You must have been vaccinated against pertussis, measles, and the current year’s influenza received between August 1 and December 1. You also must have received tubucerlosis clearance within six months of your start date.

-Dates you can commit to coming in.

-The reason(s) you’d like to volunteer with me.

Email this information to teachoutside@gmail.com a minimum of one month in advance of your proposed start date. I will review your materials and be in touch to schedule an interview as well as work with you to schedule fingerprinting and any additional immunizations and/or titers necessary.

You will receive hands-on outdoor teaching experience, resources, a letter of recommendation (if you have been reliable and request one), and the ability do your research if you’re a teaching student.
